Posture and footprint
In the Ice Barrel you sit upright with your knees bent and the water at your neck. It takes about two and a half by five feet of floor and weighs 104 pounds empty, so you can move it. In the Plunge you lie back, which needs more than six feet of length plus clearance: Plunge asks for 16 inches on the fan side and 12 inches in front for the drain. Both list a fit up to 6'9", but in one you are folded and in the other you are stretched out.
Price, matched
With a chiller, the Ice Barrel 500 bundle is $5,749.98. The fairer comparison is the Plunge Air at $5,490, Plunge's cheaper chilled tub. The All-In costs about $4,200 more than the Ice Barrel bundle; for that you get a bigger chiller (0.75 vs 1/2 HP), built-in ozone and filtration, a lie-down tub and in-home delivery.
