Best Infrared Sauna: Far vs Full Spectrum, by Budget
The best infrared sauna for most homes is a 2 person far infrared cabin on a 120V circuit, from about $5,500 to $6,200 (Sunlighten Signature II, Sun Home Solstice 2). Full spectrum models cost roughly $500 to $3,500 more for the same size.

Far infrared vs full spectrum
Far infrared cabins use one type of heater panel. Full spectrum cabins add shorter infrared wavelengths, and some add halogen heaters for more heat. Sunlighten describes its Amplify line as full spectrum plus halogen, and its mPulse line as delivering red light and each infrared band separately. Full spectrum costs more. Whether it is worth it is a preference; I would not pay the difference based on health claims, since the research behind sauna claims is mostly on traditional saunas.
